A BIG Thank You!

With the New Year here, we are all looking for ways of re-organizing, re-affirming, and re-evaluating our lives. I hope you will want to re-aquaint yourself with Figgy Whigs! We have thoroughly enjoyed sharing your most special occasions. Thank you for inviting us to your birthdays, bridal showers, baby showers, weddings, Christmas celebrations and yes, even your business meetings ;). We hope that throughout the coming year our involvement in your lives will continue. So for the next party that you plan, indulge yourself in the fine baked goodness of Figgy Whigs cupckes! BW

In the mood for a Creamsicle?

Just wanted everyone to know that Beth and I have been experimenting with flavors and have really had fun doing it. Last week we added Orange Creamsicle cupcakes and Blueberry cupcakes. The Orange Creamsicle is white cake infused with fresh orange flavor and topped with a wonderful Orange Buttercream.
The Blueberry cupcake is our one of a kind white cake with fresh blueberries baked into it, topped with our Blueberry Buttercream. So light and refreshing.

This week's new flavor is Caramel Turtle. This is a rich chocolate cupcake with pecans and chocolate chips, filled with a dulce de leche icing, topped with chocolate buttercream and a drizzle of caramel. This is one of our specialty cupcakes. My husband's reaction after tasting this cupcake was enough to convince Beth and me that this will be a permanent addition to our menu!

So, I know some of you are wondering how this all started. Well, to make a long story short, my sister fell in love with a cupcake shop in Charleston and wanted one of her own. She approached me one day (about 6 weeks ago) and asked if I would be interested in helping her. So, since I really enjoy baking I said, "sure!" So, let me introduce you to FiggyWhigs. Right now, we are all cupcakes but may be doing special order cakes in the near future. We are in the testing stage as well for muffins. We have all the classics on our menu right now which will soon change. I'm really excited about adding some fantastic new recipes to the menu. I'll be sending you a notice when we revise the menu.

If anyone has any suggestions, even some harsh criticism, we would truly like to hear them. The only way we can improve our service to you is to learn what your preferences may be. You can go to our FORUM page and post those.

We appreciate all the support we've had from our dear friends and family and want to thank you ALL for that. Keep spreading the word for us. We know that is the only way we can stay afloat.

KNOW YOUR OPTIONS WHEN ORDERING YOUR CUPCAKES:

Here's what you should know before ordering:

1. You can request any flavor cake with your choice of icing. The options are practically endless!

2. You can specify tall or short icing. We know that some of you would prefer less icing and we are glad to oblige.

3. On some of our cupcakes we use candies as toppers. You can request sprinkles instead of the candies or just order plain icing with no topper.

4. Minimum for special orders is 24 minis or 12 standard cupcakes Don't need that many? Come to Saffron's cafe @ the museum and select from our case--then there is no minimum.

5. Please limit your request to two flavors when ordering the minimum amount.
